WELCOME TO THE GOAN ASSOCIATION (UK) WEBSITE

goalogosmallThe Goan Association (UK) is a voluntary organisation founded in 1966 and incorporated as The G.O.A (UK) Ltd in 1983.

The management body comprises of a Board of 12 Elected Directors supported by a Company Secretary and a General Secretary (for names and telephone numbers click here). All office-bearers serve in a voluntary capacity and this has been the case since its inception.

 




The Golden Jubilee brochure

The Golden Jubilee brochure was unveiled at this year’s Extravaganza dance on 7th January. Those members who attended the dance were able to collect their copy in person. For those who were unable to and would like a copy please send an email to goanassociationuk@gmail.com quoting your full name, address and membership number and it will be sent out by mail. Should you wish to purchase a copy, the cost for this is £5.00 plus £1.50 for postage. Cheques to be made payable to GOA UK.


PRESS NOTE:

The Missionaries of St Francis Xavier, popularly known as the Pilar Fathers complete 25 years of their glorious presence in the UK this year.  To celebrate this joyous achievement in a befitting manner, twin functions are planned in the month of May 2017. 

  1. A concelebrated High Mass will be celebrated at St George’s Cathedral (Southwark) on Sunday 7th. May 2017  at 2.45 pm presided by His Excellency The Archbishop of Southwark, Peter Smith.
  2. The following Sunday, the 14th May 2017, there will be a grand Social Event commencing at 1.30 pm, at Archbishop Lanfranc Academy, Mitcham Road Croydon, with top UK bands in attendance.

Entry by Ticket for the second event – proceeds of which will help to raise funds for the Pilar Missions. The Pilar Fathers would be delighted to have your support and grace the occasion with your presence.
