GOA VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT

at HSBC Sports Centre

After a span of 20 years volleyball fever gripped the Association, thanks to Richard Fernandes.  6 teams, including a contingent from Swindon, were competitive in play.  The finals between “Onsite” led by Jose Fernandes and RSS, who proved worthy winners, captained by Zac (a regular from yester years). Not to be left in the shade on the practice court, President Flavio and the current Vice President Herbert Fernandes took the game in their stride much to the cheers of the crowd.  Richard Fernandes thanked all participants and referees, Proto Carvalho and Jaine Rodrigues.  Mr Alvaro Collaco, chief guest, presented the prizes, congratulating the players and applauding the organisers for keeping the sport alive.
