G.O.A. Golf Society at Swallows, Farleigh, Surrey

The final GOA Golf Society for the year was held at Farleigh Court Golf Club. The baby of Fidelis D'Mello, and now in its second year, the tournament was an expected success, with 42 participants. Following a full English breakfast, competitors went out for a gruelling four and half hours of hacking, slicing, OBs, Hamlet time in the bunker (and this is only Vince!).  Played in the right spirit, Fidelis saw his efforts greatly appreciated by all participants and by President Flavio & Bernie who awarded the trophies after the presentation dinner. The Members winner was Cedric D’Cruz, a brilliant game 44 points playing off 13 and a gross score of 77 -well done! The Guests winner was Shailesh Amin who also scored 44 points.  Fidelis would like to have more ladies play (only one on this occasion)…thank you Puni for taking part!  So girls, get your plus fours on and rise to the challenge!  It is hoped to have another 4 or 5 like events next year.
