GOA SHOPPING TRIP TO FRANCE

If anything can put one off taking a shopping trip across to France for the day, it would be the early start for some at Greenford and the late return.  But it did not deter the good humoured coach travellers who were joined by others from Tooting and Norbury for the GOA’s much-anticipated annual outing.

What a glorious day it turned out to be and everyone returned home laden with their goodies from Calais … “merci madame” …and invigorated with the salty sea air and fish lunch in Boulogne.    The journey home was enlivened with robust voices singing to popular songs accompanied by cheerful Leo Rebello with his guitar.

Thanks must go to Norma, Esau, Rosy, Flavio and Bernie for their efforts in ensuring that each of us kept safe and enjoyed ourselves to the max. We also expressed our appreciation to the drivers of Stanley Travel for their patience and skill throughout the day.   It really was an enjoyable day out.  “Au revoir pour le moment!”
